The Silverstone Circuit opened its gates to celebrate the start of the 2016 racing season last weekend on Easter Sunday, with over 25,000 people in attendance.
The day was be filled with entertainment for all the family, plus racing on the Grand Prix Circuit from the British Automobile Racing Club.
We are looking forward to a busy, and hopefully sunny, 2016 season at Silverstone.
Our ‘Challenge Cheltenham’ project, which has been ongoing for the past 18 months, was put to the test at The Festival last week. We are glad to report that it went very well with continuous improvements very evident for both racegoers and locals.
One of our team members, Mike, was feeling particularly inventive during our time at Cheltenham, and went the extra mile to direct customers in the pay lanes with his own creation. Thank you, Mike!
David Mackinnon from The Jockey Club said of our work at The Festival, “great effort, thank you, star effort all round – game changing delivery – the pain paid off! THANK YOU!”
Many congratulations to John McArthur, CEO of Tracsis, who won the Yorkshire Company Director of the Year (plc) Award at the Yorkshire Business Awards 2016 that took place last week at the Millennium Gallery in Sheffield.
The ceremony rewarded the people who are the inspiration and entrepreneurial drive behind many of Yorkshire’s most successful businesses, and who make a significant contribution to their companies and the wider Yorkshire region.
John has been CEO of Tracsis since its formation in January 2004 and led the IPO in 2007. He has led the business building a group with a dominant market position particularly in the UK with an increasing presence in overseas markets. He has delivered year on year growth with a share price that has increased tenfold over the last five years.
