This page is here to offer you general guidance on working for SEP.
For information related to any individual event, please go the login page, and look for that particular event.
What happens once I have filled in my details on the website?
Once you have applied online you will be short-listed for the events you have requested.
3 – 4 weeks before the event, we will text you with further information. If you do not hear from us do get in touch again, but it may be that demand has been too great for everyone to be offered work.
What kind of jobs do you have available?
Car Park Marshal – Directing and parking vehicles as they enter and exit an event.
Ticket Selling – This can be selling admission tickets on the gate of an event, or selling car park tickets to cars entering an event (the minimum age for this is 18).
Ticket Checking – Checking tickets and passes for both vehicles and people.
Traffic Management Stewards.
What kind of people are you looking for?
You must be friendly, polite and have the ability to deal with the public. A good command of the English language is essential. You will be working outdoors, so you must be prepared to work in all kinds of weather conditions and you may be on your feet most of the day.
Is there a uniform I need to wear?
Comfortable waterproof shoes, boots or trainers in a dark colour.
No football shirts, logos or track-suits.
We will provide:
A high-viz yellow or orange uniform which you are required to wear, zipped up, at all times.
Be careful to look after your SEP uniform because if your uniform is lost or not handed back on the last day of the event you will be charged for this item.
What else should I bring with me?
Be prepared for all types of weather, and we mean ALL kinds of weather.
Sunshine – Suncream, plenty of water, sunglasses, cap.
Rain – Waterproofs & wellies.
Cold – Warm clothing, thin layers work well.
It is also advisable to bring food and drinks with you. It can be expensive to buy at an event.
It is your responsibility to look after your own belongings. SEP will not be held responsible for any losses.
What will happen when I first arrive at an event?
You should arrive about 15 minutes before your start time for a briefing and hand your E-card in.
Can I camp on site?
A staff camp site may be available at certain events. If you would like to camp with our team you should ask if camping is available and let us know when you will be arriving. Note it is important to arrive before 7 in the evening if you can. You will need to bring your own camping equipment…such as a tent, bedding, cooking facilities and food.
Please check our campsite rules and health and safety tips and note that it is unlikely that there will be any electric hook ups available.
Remember: SEP will not be held responsible for any losses.
